We'll kick off the weekend with a look at Mary and Justin's peacock inspired wedding. The following shots highlight how peacock feathers were used throughout the entire day, and how she pulled colors from the feathers themselves to further coordinate everything.

Recognize this beautiful face? I had the honor of photographing Mary and Justin for their engagement pictures earlier this spring, and now they are officially hitched!

Mary used a peacock theme throughout the entire event and everything was absolutely gorgeous as well as unique. Detail shots of decorations to come soon.

The Victory Health Clinic in Mobile, AL exists to not only help heal people who are sick, but also to help people find peace and strength in the Lord.

VHP serves the uninsured in Mobile with medical and dental care. Their marketing director asked me to come in and help them update their brochures and other material with new photos. I was amazed at how many patients they see everyday, and the loving care they provide!

The Brookshire's have added to their family, so it was time for another photo session! Their oldest son is at the age where he is on the move and on the go. Their baby is at the perfect picture taking age- he's not really moving anywhere on his own yet, so we just put him somewhere and hoped for smiles!

The whole family is always a good sport, though, and just so sweet. I got to see Cati at a wedding I photographed last weekend, so that was fun too!

Their vows took place in the Malaga Inn Courtyard. Family sat in chairs in the courtyard and guests lined the second floor balcony. I love the white lights and lanterns hanging overhead, plus simple mason jars with hydrangeas made nice aisle markers.

Here we are with the entire wedding party now. This is my second seersucker wedding- I am such a fan! These were shot across the street from the Malaga Inn. Everyone was such a GREAT sport about the heat.... and it was HOT.

Here is Blake and his Groomsmen getting ready for the ceremony. These guys were so much fun! Plus, their suits were seersucker. Around our house, seersucker is the fabric of choice. But seriously, the guys suits with the girls bright blue dresses tied together so nicely! The whole look really came together. I'll do those pics in a future post, but for now, here's the guys getting ready.

Samantha and Blake were married at the Malaga Inn earlier this June. Here is a sampling of the Bridal Suite "getting ready" photos.

Sam's make-up was done by a close friend who I photographed getting married last summer! It was great to see her and her husband again!

Thanks again to sister-of-the-groom Heather for being my fantastic assistant with the portraits:) You hold up a white sheet like no other.

The shot on the left is one of my favorites from the day. Samantha is such a natural beauty and I think it really shows here... so glamorous!

Christmas Cards

I know! It's WAY too early to be thinking about such things, BUT... before the hectic-ness of the holidays begin, I'm announcing that BDP is offering custom Christmas Cards this year!

I was trying to figure out a low-cost way to do my own cards, and discovered this free software. I can easily share the love to all my wonderful friends who let me take their pictures.

So here's the deal. When you have a session during one of the upcoming Christmas Card photo session days, your disc will come with a customized card (jpeg). You can then print them yourself if you like or since it's a jpeg, you can use it as a holiday blog header! If you would like me to print them, you can place an order through me and envelopes will be included in the price.

I will have samples on hand at the sessions and you can place your order then. Also, before the card is finalized, I'll send you a proof over e-mail and you can change it up if you want!

It was so fun meeting Bailey and his little brother (next post!), and I can't believe how big Bailey already is. My friends don't just have babies anymore, they have KIDS!

I'm a little behind in posting sessions from this summer, but when I sat down to do the Kosko and Mullin Boys, I realized I needed to separate them into several posts.

Check out this gorgeous DIY Kentucky wedding. Everything from the flowers to the food was done by friends and family of the couple. I personally aided in the chicken salad sandwiches! (and they were delish). Erica and Scott had a very meaningful ceremony, which I think is worth pointing out. I think they are starting their marriage out on the right foot, and I was glad to be there and witness it!
